As part of a course at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, we had the opportunity to contribute to the light festival Mainz Leuchtet. This is a cooperation between the city of Mainz and Mainz University of Applied Sciences, in which we students were able to produce the content.
The Osteiner Hof is staged as a center of diversity and creativity, planted and protected by our little hero “Arty.” At least until a grey golem appears, for whom any kind of playfulness is unbearable. In an elaborate 3D animation, two opponents who could hardly be more different fight for freedom, diversity, and art in all its forms.
Arty and Goly
A project by: Nick Pajunk and Tom Braunschedel (Junkschedel)
Special thanks to: Sebastian Frey, Tim Kalmbach, Isabell Čamaj, Andreas Schmidt, and Paul Faerber
And of course, a huge thank you to Mainz University of Applied Sciences, the City of Mainz, Mainzplus Citymarketing, and the supervising professors Tjark Ihmels and Pascal Kulcsár, who made the festival possible in the first place!
